Bringing a new puppy into your home is an important decision, and we are committed to helping families find the right Goldendoodle or Bernedoodle companion while ensuring every puppy is placed in a loving, well-prepared home.
We believe that successful puppy adoption begins with communication, education, and ongoing support. From your first inquiry through your puppy’s homecoming day, we are here to answer questions and guide you through each step.
Step 1: Learn About N’Joy Doodles
We encourage prospective families to spend time exploring our website, learning about our breeding program, and becoming familiar with the care and socialization our puppies receive.
Our puppies are raised in a family environment where they receive daily interaction, early socialization, and exposure to everyday household experiences. We want every family to feel confident and informed before moving forward with the adoption process.
If you have questions at any point, we welcome phone calls, emails, or messages.
Step 2: Submit an Application
Once you have decided that a N’Joy Doodles puppy may be the right fit for your family, the next step is to complete our puppy application.
The application helps us learn more about your household, lifestyle, and expectations. Our goal is not simply to place puppies quickly, but to ensure every puppy is matched with a family that is prepared for the responsibilities and joys of dog ownership.
Step 3: Initial Conversation
After reviewing your application, we will contact you to discuss your family’s needs, answer any questions, and talk about upcoming litters.
This conversation helps us understand what you are looking for in a puppy, including:
- Mini or Standard size preferences
- Activity level and lifestyle
- Family dynamics
- Previous dog ownership experience
- Timing for bringing a puppy home
Step 4: Approval & Reservation
Once approved, families may reserve a place on our puppy selection list by submitting a deposit.
Your reservation secures your position for an upcoming litter. Puppy selections are made according to reservation order, allowing families to choose their puppy when the puppies are old enough for personality and temperament assessments.
If circumstances change and your selected litter is no longer suitable, we are happy to discuss transferring your reservation to a future litter.
Step 5: Follow Your Puppy’s Journey
One of the most exciting parts of the process is watching your puppy grow.
Families receive regular updates, photos, and information throughout the puppies’ development. We enjoy sharing milestones and helping future owners feel connected long before pickup day arrives.
During this time, we encourage families to begin preparing their homes, gathering supplies, and learning about puppy training and care.
Step 6: Meet the Puppies
When the puppies are approximately 5 to 6 weeks old, we begin arranging visits and puppy selection appointments.
Families have the opportunity to meet the puppies, learn more about their developing personalities, and select the puppy that best fits their home and lifestyle.
For families who live farther away, virtual meetings and video calls may be available.
Step 7: Preparing for Homecoming
As pickup day approaches, we provide guidance on preparing for your new puppy.
This includes information about:
- Crate training
- Nutrition and feeding
- Veterinary care
- Puppy-proofing your home
- Transitioning to a new environment
Our goal is to make the move from our home to yours as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Step 8: Puppy Pickup Day
Most puppies are ready to join their new families between 8 and 10 weeks of age.
Pickup day is an exciting milestone, and we take time to review important information, answer final questions, and ensure both puppy and family are ready for the transition.
Our relationship does not end when your puppy goes home. We remain available to provide guidance and support throughout your puppy’s life.
Delivery Options Across Canada
We understand that not every family lives nearby.
N’Joy Doodles offers delivery options throughout Alberta and can often assist families across Canada. Whenever possible, we personally accompany puppies to their new homes rather than using traditional cargo shipping methods.
The comfort, safety, and well-being of our puppies remain our highest priority. Delivery arrangements are discussed individually with each family based on location and travel requirements.
