Tia is currently pregnant!! We can't wait to see the beautiful variety of colours and markings that she produces this time. Her babies normally weigh between 10 and 24lbs. Tia still has a few puppies available.
Zoey is in heat and will be pregnant in just a few more days! Zoey is definitely a favorite and still has room on her Reserve list for this upcoming litter.

Week 1
1. Firstly, you need to remember that your puppy has only had 1 vaccination and therefore, it is very dangerous to take the puppy out to public places where a lot of people will be tempted to touch him or her. Also, do not take them to any public grass areas such as dog parks until the puppy has received all of their vaccines this puts the puppy at risk of contracting issues from other animals.
2. Hold and cuddle the puppy as much as you can to help with the bonding and they will learn to want cuddles.
3. Expect that there will be a few accidents until they learn the acceptable dog run area.
4. Expect that when you put the puppy in the crate for the night, they will whimper and cry. Be patient, just talk to them and reassure them that they are not alone. Every night it will get better! And when the puppy wakes and begins to whimper in the middle of the night – RUN, they need to pee! Remember, don’t give them any food or water at least two hours before bed, this will help.
5. Expect that they will try to chew something they shouldn’t, take them away from the temptation and give them a toy or something acceptable to chew on.
6. Remember, they are just babies and every day will get easier.
7. Now that you have heard all the negatives, there are lots of positives!
8. Expect all the love and kisses you can handle!! That sweet little face is all yours.
Week 2
1. By now the puppy should have stopped crying or whimpering at bed time, if not they will soon. They will learn your routine and find comfort in it.
2. Remember to call the Veterinary clinic to book an appointment for their next vaccination. This needs to be done in 3-4 weeks after the first one in order to help build their immune system. Your puppy’s health card will show you the date of the first injection.
3. Continue to be vigilant with your training, we know that not everyone can work from home so when you are not with the pup ensure they are in a pen or enclosed area with food, water, an area for potty time and somewhere to play and sleep. If the pen or area is large enough put their crate in there with them so they can have the comfort of “their den”.
